Biography:
Sasha Dugdale is a poet and translator. She has published four collections of poems with Carcanet, most recently Joy (2017) which was a PBS Choice. 

Her fifth collection Deformations was published in 2020. She won the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem in 2016 and in 2017 was awarded a Cholmondeley Prize for Poetry. 

Sasha’s translations of the Russian poet Elena Shvarts were a PBS Recommendation and shortlisted for the Popescu and Academica Rossica Prizes. 

She is a former editor of Modern Poetry in Translation and poet-in-residence at St John’s College, Cambridge. Between 2000 and 2015 she translated over 30 plays from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus for the Royal Court and other theatres.
